Ecological Towers at the Centre for Alternative Technology

All the students had great ideas and it was brilliant to see how everyone had gone away and learnt so much about nature since our last meeting. There was a lot of enthusiasm with one student championing not just a design but a whole new inspiring way of working, ‘thinking like a bee’ where plants and habitats are prioritised and paid for at the start of the project so that they are never sacrificed if things are running over-budget or behind schedule. This is something that would really help with our nature recovery goals. There were 6 design presentations and then the staff and students voted on their favourite one that they will build in July. The winning design will be developed and built by the students as part of the Ceredigion Nature Partnership Tŵr Gwyllt challenge fund.
