Local Places for Nature Grant Scheme 25/26

We are no longer accepting applications for this scheme, as all available funding has been allocated. Announcements regarding any future grant schemes will be made here and in the Natur Ceredigion website.

Local Places for Nature Grant Scheme 24/25

Ceredigion Nature Partnership launched their Local Places for Nature grants scheme for 2024 with £350,000 to distribute. The scheme was inviting applications for projects worth up to £50,000 to apply for the Capital funding.

In total 35 applications were received with a total value of £758,093.69.

23 projects, listed below were approved by the panel. Some projects were offered part funding for their projects.

  1. A community woodland learning hub.
  2. Pond restoration, growing plots, bat boxes and survey equipment for a student volunteer group.
  3. A Bat group purchased Audiomoth static detectors and educational equipment.
  4. Community growing plots in a walled garden.
  5. Enhancement of a growing space, pond and other habitats creation, fruit bush and tree planting, outdoor classroom.
  6. Wildlife, food growing, and meadow enhancement.
  7. Hedgerow planting, creation of disability accessible nature trail.
  8. Walled garden allotments.
  9. School nature garden including bug zone, bird boxes, hedgehog highway, wildlife viewing area, pollinator area.
  10. Mowing machinery.
  11. Bat, owl boxes, composting equipment, wildflower garden.
  12. Children’s therapeutic garden.
  13. Community garden project.
  14. Revival of a community park for biodiversity.
  15. Intergenerational therapeutic garden.
  16. School nature garden.
  17. Red Squirrel colony cameras.
  18. Volunteer habitat monitoring and restoration of peatland.
  19. School wildlife pond project.
  20. Bird boxes.
  21. School wildlife garden and hub
  22. Community Garden
  23. Boardwalk over bog at a school and pollinator/habitat planting.
